It's fun to see how similar your menu calendar is to ours! This is a really great idea. I look forward to checking out your versions of the things I cook, and also to see the recipes you have that I've not done before. Thank you for taking the time to do all of this!
ReplyDeleteYou know I was thinking this would be really complicated but you make it look so simple. I like how you have a theme for each day and carry it through the month. I actually think that I could do this. I didn't look to see if Taco Soup was on your list but it freezes so well. I always double the recipe to freeze so next time we have it it's already done.
ReplyDeleteFreezer Cooking is next on my list of things to try. I only have the freezer on my fridge (which is small) so I can't freeze a month of meals. Instead I'm just going to try to double the meals that will freeze well like casseroles and soup and freeze those for days I can't cook something fresh.
ReplyDeleteI have not seen the Family Calendar before, very nifty.
ReplyDeleteI have launched a Free Menu Planner you might like to check out. Have a great week!
The form is available on Lisa Whelchel's website. Go here (http://www.lisawhelchel.com/meinmommy_charts.htm) for this form and many others. Just scroll down until you see it.
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Stephanie! I, too, only have my small fridge freezer (although if I had room I would definitely have a big one!). Anyway, soups will freeze in large ziploc bags which take up less space...just be sure they're cooled before you put them in! :) Again, way to go on the planning!
ReplyDeleteSo far this week I've frozen a meal worth of chili and a loaf of banana bread (had some brown bananas). I love having stuff it the freezer to go to when I'm too tired to cook.
